How can we help?

Cancellation policy

Before an expert accepts, cancelling releases the authorisation — nothing is charged.

After an expert accepts, cancel more than 12 hours before the session for a full refund. Within 12 hours, the fee is forfeited unless support resolves an issue differently.

When am I charged?
Your card is authorised when you request a session, but only charged when the expert accepts. If they decline, the authorisation is released automatically.
Can I cancel a booked session?
Yes. Cancel more than 12 hours before the start and you're refunded in full - or, if the expert hasn't accepted yet, the hold on your card is simply released. Within 12 hours of the start the session is non-refundable, unless our support team makes an exception (for example, if the expert doesn't show).
What is a pro-bono session?
Some experts offer free sessions to give back. Look for the green Free badge or use the pro-bono filter in search.
How do refunds and hold releases work?
If an expert declines or doesn't respond within 72 hours (or 12 hours before the slot, whichever is sooner), the hold on your card is released automatically - nothing is charged and no action is needed. Refunds apply after you've been charged: for example a cancellation more than 12 hours ahead, an expert no-show, or a dispute resolved in your favour.
How do I become an expert?
Tap “Become an expert”, complete the 4-step profile, and our team reviews it within 1–2 days.

Give great sessions

A short guide for experts. None of this is complicated - it is what separates a session someone books once from one they come back to.

Prepare in ten minutes
Read the learner's request and any attachments the day before. Skim their profile - persona, stage, what they say they're working on. Jot two or three questions you want to ask them. Test your Meet link five minutes early.
Keep advice practical
Talk about their situation, not general theory. Share what you actually did, what it cost you, and what you'd do differently. End every session with two or three concrete next steps they can act on this week.
Don't overpromise
You're sharing lived experience, not guarantees - avoid “this will definitely work”. Where a question needs a licensed professional (legal, medical, regulated financial advice), say so plainly and point them to one. Honesty is what your reviews are built on.
If something goes wrong
If a learner is inappropriate, you can end the session politely and report it from the booking card - our team reviews Meet logs and you're protected. If a learner doesn't join within 15 minutes, report the no-show: you're paid in full and it never counts against you.
How money and disputes work
Learners pay your rate plus a 15% service fee; you keep 90% of your rate. Payment is captured when you accept, and your payout is released 48 hours after the session. If a learner raises an issue within those 48 hours, the payout pauses while our team reviews - most cases resolve within 3 working days.
